Pulled Beef & Potato Pie (x6)
We use Red Ruby Devon beef which is probably the best you can buy, it cant be beaten for marbling texture flavour and tenderness, which is supplied by Stacey’s Farm Meats in Looe. We use Brisket for our beef pies. We cook the beef in a pressure cooker with onions, red wine, beef stock and bouquet garnie until it just pulls apart.
The stock is then reduced to produce a thick gravy. We line 4” pie trays with our shortcrust pastry and then fill with the meat and gravy and then top with a lid of shortcrust pastry. Pies are either frozen or cooked.
